Senior PASTOR, Rev. HASSAN BELL
Pastor Hassan Bell was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and raised in the great state of Texas. He grew up going to church regularly and hearing the gospel from his mom at home. It wasn’t until the age of eleven that the Lord changed his life through the power of the gospel. He recognized that he was a sinner who desperately needed a Saviour. God graciously opened his eyes to see that Jesus alone, through his perfect life and perfect death, could save him from the condemnation he deserved. By God’s grace, he has been living a life of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ ever since.
The Lord called Pastor Bell to ministry as a young buck of 18. He preached his first sermon at his home church (Eastside Baptist Church) under the ministry of Reverend D.P Williams. Then after graduating from university, he attended Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY, where he earned a Master of Arts in Missions & Theology. He is currently completing an M.Div. Pastor Bell came to Thistletown Baptist Church in December of 2008 as a pastoral intern. In the summer of 2009, the church voted to bring him on full time as an associate pastor.
Pastor Bell was married to his beautiful wife, Katherine, in February 2010. They share a deep love for each other and especially love the time they spend together. Pastor Bell enjoys lifting weights, reading and loves socializing with people. He enjoys listening to various genre of music, is a football fanatic and an avid puller of weeds.
